A few years ago I interviewed a Feng Shui Practitioner on my podcast, and one of the things she said that stuck with me is that our homes are living, breathing vision boards for our lives. From the art we put on the walls, to what we do - or do not - make room for in our homes. It all communicates how we feel about ourselves and what we believe we are worthy of.
There is so much pressure, especially in the early days of pregnancy, to curate a nursery that looks like it was pulled from the pages of a magazine. But in the quiet moments spent painting and thrifting for this little one, I’ve been reminded of a different truth: babies don’t need a huge, expensive transformation. What they truly need—and what makes a house feel like a home—is a space that feels safe, intentional, and filled with love.
