Pretty & Botanical: Nature-Inspired Halloween Decor
It’s almost Halloween - and this year I’ve been feeling inspired by the witch - the truth of the witch. A medicine woman, who is a feeler and healer and is deeply rooted in nature. I love how the space turned out, using pieces I have thrifted throughout the years and found in my parent’s house pre-renovation.
Sometimes I wonder if creating and crafting matters. I love it, but what good does it do in the greater scheme of things? And while I was crafting for this space I felt a healing in my own way. A feeling a giving voice to women who weren’t allowed to have one. Women who were harmed for being medicinal and spiritual and healing. Women who were killed just because they were tuned into nature and her natural rhythms. So while it might just be a bit of Halloween decor, there is something in me that thinks, “no, this is much more than that, my dear.”
