SWEDEN: A Law of Attraction success story
Update February 2016: I didn't end up going to Sweden because I manifested something even better and needed to stay in Canada. I've since manifested ANOTHER trip to Sweden... and will be writing on a post on that shortly.
When I first stumbled across the Law of Attraction I spent countless hours Googling 'LOA Success Stories.' I wanted so much to believe I had the power to change my reality... but it was never anything we talked about at home, or learned in school... so I was skeptical.
If that's you and a 'LOA success story' search brought you here, I hope this story inspires you. Because the LOA is real and there is a lot of power in realizing that.
So let's get to it! My LOA story:
This past January I decided I wanted to go to Sweden.
I had met someone from there and the more I learned about the country, the harder I fell in love with it. From the language to the buildings to how they approached social justice, everything was beautiful and I knew it was a place I was meant to travel.
But, as a student with debt, I had no idea how I would make that happen. So I asked my angels for help. The next thought that popped into my head was: "your Masters."
This made sense. I was about to graduate with my Bachelor of Social Work and had been busy applying to Master programs in Canada. So why couldn't I apply to one in Sweden? Social work is big there and there were dozens of programs that caught my interest. I chose my favourite and applied with what I thought was plenty of time to spare.
Unfortunately I forgot to read the fine print and two days before the application deadline realized that I had to mail my transcript, not upload it like I had originally thought. My heart sank. It's called snail mail for a reason and I had no idea how I was going to get my transcript to Sweden on time.
I called across the ocean and begged for an extension but was told no. So I ran to the academic office at my university and begged to have my transcript sent express that day. That request was also met with a no. I called my Mom and cried, devastated that my plan wasn't going to work out. She told me to send the transcript and trust.
My transcript went out the next day and arrived 3 hours late in Sweden. I called across the ocean again and was told that my application was late and would not be considered until midsummer, which would be too late to get a study permit.
To avoid making this post longer than it needs to be, I'll just say that the next few months were met with roadblock after roadblock, and lots and lots of tears. But I never gave up. Though I had been told (repetitively) that it wasn't going to work out, I carried on as if it was and told everyone that would listen about Sweden and my plans to study there.
And that's when everything shifted.
Because I behaved as if going to Sweden was a fact, by talking as if it was, the universe moved mountains to make it happen.
As soon as I made the decision to trust in the universe, my angels and my original plan, I was offered a spot (a month early!!!) at not one, but TWO, universities (one I didn't even formally apply for), which gave me enough time to get a permit.
The universe is always listening to you. Believe in your plans and believe in yourself. That is how you make magic.
